Ettrick Valley is a family business run by Bryan and Helen Hoggan.
Started in 1980 we are situated in Selkirk in the beautiful Scottish Borders in
a stone-built grade B listed Victorian tweed weaving mill.
Ettrick Valley is a family run business run by Bryan and Helen Hoggan which started in 1980, built on a passion for quality craftsmanship and Scottish heritage. Bryan, born and bred in Selkirk, came to Ettrick Valley straight from school in 1993, starting out as an apprentice silk-screen printer under owners Pete and Sue Kemp. After learning the craft from the ground up and spending more than 20 years with the company, Bryan took over Ettrick Valley in 2015. Today, Bryan and Helen continue to run the business from Selkirk, carrying on its tradition of producing distinctive Scottish giftware for customers at home and around the world.
We are proud to offer an exceptional range of textile giftware, including what we believe to be the most extensive and distinctive collection of Scottish tea towel designs available anywhere in Scotland. Many of our designs are hand painted by our in-house artists, giving each piece a unique character and an authentic, artisanal touch.

Our shop is based in Selkirk, set within a beautifully preserved stone-built Victorian tweed weaving mill—an inspiring setting that reflects the rich textile tradition at the heart of everything we create.
